ON CAMPUS
Thetas can be found in a wide variety of organizations on MU's campus. They sit on executive committees, head teams, and lead groups. Leadership can mean many things, and it is not limited to an official office or position. It can be the ability to guide, direct, or influence people. Theta believes that leadership is a commitment to the widest influence for good. All members of our organization are called upon to be leaders in the classroom, community, on teams, in the chapter, and beyond. We provide many opportunities to be leaders in the chapter, and encourage our sisters to be involved and lead on campus.
CONNECT
An important part of being involved on campus is the connections it creates for our members. We have found that we grow when we push ourselves beyond our comfort zones and meet those that differ from ourselves. We have also discovered that Theta sisters can be found around every corner of Mizzou's Campus. Above are a few of our Theta representatives on Mizzou's Greek Week Steering Committee: Aly Cromley (MC '21), Bella Valdez (MC '21), Jenna Phelan (MC '20), and Lily Mattingly (MC '21).
LEAD
One of Kappa Alpha Theta's core values is leadership potential. As Leading Women, our members enjoy leading others on campus whenever they can. For instance, many of our members serve as tour guides on Mizzou's Tour Team, and show prospective students around our campus. Above are our current TThetas!
SERVE
Mizzou is a school known for it's numerous traditions; whether it be Homecoming, Tiger Walk, kissing the 50 on Faurot Field or giving David R. Francis' nose a rub for good luck, our members love participating in and facilitating Mizzou traditions in order to serve our university. Our members also enjoy picking up Greek Town, visiting the local food bank or humane society together or joining organizations such as Caring for Columbia (pictured above, Kathryn Wenger MC '21) Mizzou for Malawi, or International Justice Mission to serve the Columbia community and beyond.
