What are your career/life goals? I hope to go to law school to pursue either corporate or international law or get my master’s in Defense and Strategic Studies and work in intelligence.
What is your favorite part about your major(s)? Tell us why you chose your major(s)? My favorite part about my majors are that I truly love what I’m studying. I chose them because I want to go into law or intelligence and because I find them interesting and best suited to my style of learning.
Why did you decide to get involved in Marching Mizzou? I decided to get involved in Marching Mizzou because I wanted to be a part of the spirit and traditions that come with it and meet fellow instrumentalists that would become like family through the long rehearsals.
What is your favorite part about Marching Mizzou? My favorite part about Marching Mizzou is the spirit and comradery that comes with representing Mizzou and cheering on Mizzou Athletics! Mizzou has so many traditions and being apart of them is so special to the marching band!
What other organizations or hobbies are you passionate about? I am super passionate about education because I think it’s such a valuable tool that allows you to see the world through a different lens and pushes you intellectually and as a person.
How have your experiences in Theta changed you? My experiences in Theta have changed me in a way that makes me realize that there are so many people that are passionate about the same things as I am, and having a sisterhood that values all of the same things that I do has been so important to owning who I am as I came into college!
What does Theta mean to you? To me, Theta means a place where I can find sisters to lean on who push me to be the best and most caring person I can be. I always have a safe space, and I always feel like I can be myself because I see all of the unique personalities around me in Theta, and it helps me realize how awesome that is!
Do you have any advice for incoming freshmen? My advice for incoming freshmen is to embrace the change and growth you’re going to experience! Don’t be afraid to change your major, join a new organization, stand up for what you believe in, and get out of your comfort zone. College is for growth, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the ways you can grow if you just let it happen.
Do you have a specific favorite Theta memory? My favorite Theta memory is my bid day. It was so relieving to be finished with the recruitment process and to have that moment of knowing you made the perfect choice without a doubt. From that point, I knew that Theta was the place for me, and I was so happy to be home!
