Our January Alumna Spotlight features Blake Metz! Read more to hear what she has been doing since she graduated in May 2021.
After graduation Blake went to work at Walt Disney World at Millennium Falcon! Her favorite thing about her job is being able to create content and moments for others every day. In the future, Blake can see herself potentially in the entertainment/marketing field creating moments through film and storytelling.
Blake says her favorite part of being in Theta is how it pushed her to get out of her comfort zone and all the connections she made and will always have as she continues her career. When she is working in Florida, she misses her hometown here in Columbia, and Shakespeare pizza!

Where do you work right now/what have you been up to since graduation?
I currently work at Walt Disney World at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge!
What's your favorite thing about your job?
I love that I get to fully immerse myself in Star Wars every single day and meet people from all over the world. I love the ability to make magic for families.
What's your favorite thing about the city you live in?
It is always warm and sunny!
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about creating content and moments for others that stimulates an emotional response.
What do you do in your free time?
I work out, eat Chick-Fil-A, and go to all the Disney Parks on my days off (I mean: DUH)!
Other future career/life goals:
I want to be in the entertainment/marketing field creating moments through film and storytelling.
What do you miss most about Mizzou?
I miss my sweet hometown! Also, Shakespeare’s!!
What do you miss most about Theta?
I miss being connected to some amazing ladies!
What is one thing you took away from being a part of Theta in college that has shaped you into the woman you are today? (AKA: What impact has Theta left on you?)
Theta has pushed me outside of my comfort zone. I am grateful for the connections I will always have through Theta as I continue my career.
