When did you graduate from Mizzou? May 2020
Major/Degree: Business Administration - Finance and Banking emphasis
Hometown: Rolla, Missouri
Where do you live now? Kansas City, Missouri
Where do you work right now/what have you been up to since graduation? I am currently attending law school at UMKC. I began the fall after graduation!
What is your favorite thing about law school? The faculty and students have worked so hard to make attending law school mid-pandemic manageable and I have met so many great, inspiring people along this journey!
What's your favorite thing about the city you live in? I love how kind and inclusive everyone I have met here is. There are also so many good foodie spots and coffee shops that I have enjoyed exploring!
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about learning. Whether it be in a classroom or from others, I love having conversations to learn about new topics, hobbies, etc. Theta allowed me to grow by learning from other women I was around.
What do you do in your free time? I love to be outdoors — hammocking, hiking, studying in the sunshine, etc. I have also taken up indoor gardening. Now I have something pretty to look at while I attend school from home!
What are some of your other future career/life goals? Long term, I hope to be an FBI agent! In the meantime, I am hoping to work within the financial/business sector of the law — white collar crime, securities fraud, etc.
What do you miss most about Mizzou? I miss seeing my pledge class everyday, working at Starbucks, and spending 1,000+ hours in the boardroom…sometimes. (Pro tip — don't graduate early — spend more time with your friends)
What do you miss most about Theta? Chef Chris’ Chinese night and watching the Bachelor in the TV room with all of my friends!
What is one thing you took away from being a part of Theta in college that has shaped you into the woman you are today? Every woman is strong and powerful in their own way. Also, everyone struggles with life and school is HARD. It is so important to have a good support system of women that will help you achieve your goals even when times are tough! I found my support system in Theta and I will forever cherish the women I have met.
Do you have a specific favorite Theta memory? Every single day living with Hayli Tongate was the best day. There is nothing that brings me as much joy as the memories we made together do! Also, driving to Georgia with Lucy Stofer just for a concert :)
